Learn the latest skills and improve old ones. Fee includes a free daily admission for that afternoon session at the skate park during normal park hours. Pre-registration is required. This camp is not recommended for first time skaters. Please make checks payable to "2nd Nature Skate Shop."
For youth ages: 5 - 14 years old Day & Time: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (5 - 14 yrs old). Experience over 15 different sports from around the world. Campers will receive technical instruction in each sport and then experience the game in a realistic game situation as well as participating in the exciting USSI World Cup Competition. Wildlife Tracks & Traces -- Pinecliff Sanctuary
Bring the family and join us this fall as we celebrate nature with the Saw Mill River Audubon and explore Audubon sanctuaries in the Town of New Castle. Each exploration will be led by Saw Mill River Audubon educators and will cover topics in ecology and natural history. Pre-registration is required the Friday before each hike before 4:00 pm at the Recreation Offi ce. Make checks payable to “SMRA”. FEE: $5 per adult/children are free

New Castle Youth Football Association (NCYFA) will provide the opportunity for children to play competitive football. NCYFA goals are to develop the fundamental skills and discipline needed to play football in a safe and positive environment and to instill sportsmanship, teamwork and love of the game. This program will teach the basics of football and then use newly learned skills in actual non-contact games. Limit of 50 participants.
For youth aGES: 8 - 15 years old (boys & girls). This program is a national skills competition for boys and girls to compete separately against their peers. Girls and boys in four separate age divisions (8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging forum. Participants must register in advance. You must also complete the PPK Entry Form (available under Registration Forms) & include a copy of the participant’s birth certificate. FEE: $5.

Learn the great game of tennis through exciting drills and games. Players are introduced to the basic technique of the groundstroke, volley, and serve. Checks made payable to “Solaris Sport and Racquet Club”. Geoff Jagdfeld, Tennis Director at Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown will oversee the program.

Skaters are welcome to join us at the New Castle/Pleasantville Skate Park for skating, music, free giveaways, trick competitions & more! Skaters must wear helmets, knee & elbow pads. All for FREE!

We are looking for students entering 5th - 12th grades in Fall 2010 to help organize events for your age group and the community. The New Castle Teen Alliance meets September through June to provide input on programs and services for teens.
The Teen Alliance assists in planning activities related to three main service components; recreational, social and community oriented programs. Successful Teen Alliance initiatives include Candy for the Troops, The Cottage School Notebook Drive, serving cookies and hot chocolate at New Castle Community Tree Lighting, Walking for Water and Monthly Teen Film and Pizza events at the Chappaqua Library.
